This it it! You have an offer and now the negotiations begin!
I'm Danielle Scott with Keller Williams Realty and this is how to sell your home in seven easy steps.
Step seven. Seal the deal. Negotiations between you and the buyer kick off with the buyer's initial offer. In the state of New Jersey, this is called a contract. We will go over every line of the contract to be sure you're clear on what's included in the offer, what is it and how it affects you.
We are going to pay close attention to the purchase price, closing date, seller concessions towards the buyer's closing costs, the buyer's pre-approval letter from the lender or proof of funds when it comes to a cash deal, any deadline for the home inspection or appraisal and any contingencies such as the sale of the buyer's current home.
Once all parties agree to the offer and all counteroffers have been signed, we will be under contract, but you're not quite home free yet. There's still a lot to do from contract to closing and the best way to have a great experience when selling your home is to partner with a professional agent that understands this process.
I will guide you every step of the way. I will inform you and be here to answer any questions when you get overwhelmed. Remember to remain flexible because delays can and will happen. In the meantime, here are a few tips to keep in mind at this stage we begin.
